UNIT 3: defending & communicating the biblical worldview

Unit 3 introduces the discipline of apologetics: communicating and defending the faith. It will introduce current opposing beliefs and common objections to the Christian worldview model and provide sound, logical defenses to those living in the 21st century. The focus of this unit is designed to provide answers while also building personal faith and confidence to articulate and defend convictions when opportunity or opposition arises.

Consequences and Practical Implications of Modern Secular (worldly) American Culture

1. There is no distinction between God the Creator and creation. (Radical environmentalism)

2. There is no distinction between God and humankind. (Spirituality looks inward for morality)

3. There is no distinction between good and evil. (All we have are perspectives, opinions, and culturally embedded subjective values)

4. There is no distinction between angels and demons. (All spirits are considered good)

5. There is no distinction between mankind and animals. (Radical animal rights)

6. There is no distinction between men and women. (gender blur, transgenderism, bisexuality, homosexuality, cross-dressing)

7. There is no distinction between religions. (Vague pagan spirituality. Christianity seen as a fundamental threat)
